A low wedge with a closed heel and woven straps crossing the front of the foot. The ankle strap fastens with one pull and stays where you put it, so the sandal keeps its place over cobbles and gravel rather than sliding about underfoot on the walk back.

• Adjustable ankle strap — closes to the width of your own ankle and keeps the heel seated flat on the sole.
• Woven front straps — hold the forefoot down without a thong running up between the toes.
• Closed heel counter — stops the foot slipping backwards off the sole on a slope or a stair.
