One Long Line

A floor-length dress with a draped sash across one shoulder and a boned bodice built in underneath it. The skirt is cut close and unbroken, so the whole thing reads as a single line from shoulder to floor.

• Draped shoulder sash — covers one shoulder and leaves the other bare, so the neckline has an angle to it rather than sitting flat
• Boned inner bodice — supports the bust from within, which lets the finer fabric over the top stay soft and unstructured
• Ruched hip panel — gathers the fabric where a narrow skirt would otherwise pull, and smooths the line straight over the hip
• Falling sash tail — trails down one side and gives an otherwise still column something that moves as you walk
